Annual Water Line Flushing Now in Progress . . .
- This is a 6-week process from 10pm to 8:30am, Sunday thru Thursday.
- The actual flushing process causes very low water flow, but should return to normal when it's complete.
- The flushing of the water lines can result with dirty-looking water, which can cause an accumulation of minerals in the lines.
- Resolution:
- Simply run the cold water in your bathtub for about 15 minutes to push those minerals through the lines.
- Please be sure that your water is clear before running hot water or any appliances.
Yes; the City of Keizer’s water is completely SAFE to consume from the City's wells up to your meter, even when it is dirty-looking or brownish in color because the City of Keizer has testing programs in place at the municipal wells. Dirty-looking water is generally minerals that have been stirred up but it could also be from something wrong with your pipes.
