Newly Elected City Council Members sworn in at January 6, 2025, City Council Meeting

On January 6, 2025, the newly elected members of the Keizer City Council were formally sworn in during the City Council meeting. The Council members took their oaths of office, committing to support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Oregon, and the Charter, Ordinances, and Regulations of the City of Keizer.

Cathy Clark was elected Mayor for a two-year term. Clark has served as Mayor since 2015 and previously served as a City Councilor beginning in 2007.

Marlene Parsons was elected to Council Position 1 for a four-year term. Parsons had previously served on the Keizer City Council from 2013-2021.

Shaney Starr was elected to Council Position 2 for a four-year term. Starr has been serving in Council Position 1 since December 2021. Starr was also re-elected to serve a second two-year term as Council President.

Kyle Juran was elected to Council Position 3 for a four-year term. Juran has held Council Position 3 since 2021.

The City of Keizer congratulates the newly elected officials and extends a sincere thank you to the community for its participation in the election process.

The City Council’s next meeting will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, where the newly elected officials will work on setting goals for the upcoming years.
